About the Yankee Star Charter Boat
Yankee Star Charter Fishing Boat, Orange Beach & Gulf Shores AL
Welcome to the Yankee Star charter fishing boat, located in Orange Beach, Ala. Launched in June 2001, the Yankee Star is a 38 ft. custom built fiberglass Sportfisher charter boat. Renowned marine architect Ernest Libby designed the vessel with a Downeast hull, built to take on the rugged waters of the North Atlantic. The Yankee Star was constructed by Libby's Boat Shop of Beals Island, Maine to US Coast Guard specifications using Captain Pete's design.
Captain Pete Fill envisioned the Yankee Star deep sea charter fishing boat and Ernest Libby brought it to life. The vessel is a fully equipped diesel powered, 6-pack charter boat with a 15 ft. by 12 ft. cockpit, and second helm station on the transom. Auxiliary power is provided by a Northern Lights Generator for the A/C, microwave, etc. The Yankee Star charter boat has one of the finest fishing platforms of any boat on the gulf coast. The Yankee Star provides a clean enclosed restroom with vanity, sleeping accommodations for six, microwave, dinette and comfortable seating for six in the wheelhouse. The ride of the Yankee Star charter fishing boat is unbeatable. One previous deck hand described the ride of the boat like riding in a Cadillac. With the uniquely designed hull, the Yankee Star can take on waves that would toss even a 72 ft. Viking Sportfish.
For all of new charterers wanting to see the craft in all of her seaworthy engineered glory, photographs are provided showing the building process to the launching. After launching, Captain Pete piloted the vessel down the east coast, across the Gulf of Mexico, and home to Orange Beach, Ala. The boat is docked at the Orange Beach Marina for easy access to any desired fishing spot along the Gulf coast.
